The scope included upgrading air handling and conditioning equipment, a new performance area with stage flooring equipped with lighting instruments and sound systems. Installation of sound transmission walls (STC) was an interior element that required extra care when installing to ensure the STC rating was maintained. Updated mechanical, electrical and plumbing were also part of the scope.  The new Center for Creativity provides performance and rehearsal space, individual and small group music practice rooms as well as individual and small work areas for students to study. There is also a lounge area, kitchenette and storage rooms accessible.  While the renovation was confined to one space, the school was still in session causing more detailed logistical planning for the MEP work especially. Coordination and collaboration with the owner and architect, Forty-Eighty Architecture was key in efficiently completing this project.
