Project Name: | Bobby Rahal South Hills Volvo Dealership |
Client: | Bobby Rahal Automotive |
Architect: | Graves Design Group |
Dick Building Company was the construction manager for the 32,000 square foot new Volvo dealership in Washington County, Pennsylvania. The single-story structure features two mechanical mezzanines and embodies a unique and contemporary design both inside and out.
The project included extensive site work including site grading, an underground storm water detention system along with provisions for below grade electrical, water and gas services from utility mains. The scope of work also included asphalt paving and a sizable gravity block retaining wall.
The dealership’s exterior is comprised of concealed-frame curtainwall, metal panels and split-faced masonry. The signature Volvo blue accents on both ends of the structure provide a vibrant, distinct and fresh appearance. The interior of the building reflects a Scandinavian style characterized by simplicity and minimalism. Neutral tones create a calm and warm atmosphere, particularly in the customer lounge areas. The glass-walled offices create a seamless clean look while the wood linear ceiling and rich caramel furniture bring in warmth. The entire project reflects the Rahal commitment to service and client comfort featuring a boutique lounge, reception area, service garage, parts department, car wash, show room and ample office space.
The design and construction of the Bobby Rahal Volvo Cars South Hills dealership is exemplary of the high standards met by the Bobby Rahal Automotive Group. The quality of craftsmanship and uncompromising attention to detail are both evident and widely recognized.
