Dick Building Company completed interior and exterior renovations on the Rahal Volvo dealership in Wexford, PA to incorporate the Volvo Retail Experience or VRE requirements. The customer-focused concept transforms roughly 40% of the showroom into a ‘living room’ space, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere and 60% is dedicated to a ‘street’ area displaying Volvo’s new cars. The customer-focused space is “cool on the outside, warm on the inside.”
The VRE updates were completed in about 4 ½ months, the fastest completed VRE project to date across the country. Serving as the general contractor, our team renovated the showroom, sales offices, service department, restrooms and lighting to be fully-compliant with the new Volvo Retail Experience design. The exterior of the building received new roofing and site hardscapes. In addition, new foundations and structural steel were installed to increase the showroom square footage and to increase the overall height of the façade. The façade is constructed of translucent glass paneling and metal paneling.
