Dick Building Company served as the Construction Manager for the new Pittsburgh Hotel Indigo location in South Oakland’s Technology Center. Work on the 89,000 square-foot, 6-story hotel was completed in mid-June 2018.
The hotel consists of 111 guest rooms – a mix of suites and standard rooms, a restaurant on the first floor, meeting rooms, a fitness center and a rooftop terrace. The hotel design and decorations can be traced to the site’s roots – the former J&L Steel Mill. The design focal points are items from an old steel mill, such as a large ladle in the lobby and photos in each hotel room. The six-story building consists of a block and concrete plank structure with a masonry and Cor-Ten steel façade. The architect on the job was Indovina Associates Architects. Below are a few more interior photos of the completed project.
