On March 2 -3, 2019, Dick Building Company’s Florida team spent the weekend participating in the Bike MS: Breakaway to Key Largo. This was our second year we have participated in the 150-mile bike ride (75 miles each day) in the fight to make our world free of MS. The ride was a challenge but a welcoming one for our team. Congrats to all the riders and a special thank you to our sponsors. We exceeded our fundraising goal and got a good weekend workout all for a good cause. Not a bad way to spend the weekend.
On April 17, 2019, Dick Building Company and the Allegheny Conference partnered in a community-wide effort to bring people from the Pittsburgh region together to discuss how we can create a stronger more connected community. The Big Table event, brought to our attention by Leadership Pittsburgh, was held in the event space, Bodega under the restaurant Gaucho Parrilla Argentina in the Strip. The distinctive space nicely accommodated family style dining fostering open communication regarding issues of importance to the community and region. The goal of thoughtful discussion and new perspectives provided by friends old and new brought on opportunities and ideas to help grow the Pittsburgh region. We enjoyed delicious food and great conversation with this dynamic group of Pittsburghers.
